Joe Agliozzo

No entrepreneur should ever get VC funding until they've SUCCESSFULLY run a bootstapped company. That's where all the real learning occurs, and then you are ready for "the big leagues", and dealing with VC's becomes trivial in comparison to running a real boostrapped startup. In case your wondering, yes I've done both, unfortunately in the wrong order!

Well the article link seems to be down at present. But an interesting piece nonetheless. For my part... Capital raised is a depreciating asset. The goal is not to need the next series--rather than to land it. Why wouldn't you spend it carefully?

[HM] link fixed. Of course you'd spend it carefully, but some entrepreneurs don't quite do that.
